Finance Plant is an app that helps you keep personal and small-business finance records. It is operated by Finance Plant and hosted in India. This policy explains what information the app uses, what stays on your phone, what is sent to our servers, and the choices and rights you have.

Your transactions, accounts, invoices, loans, savings, and other financial records are stored on your device. We do not send your financial records to our servers. You choose when to make a backup. Backups are encrypted with a password you set, and you choose where they are saved (for example a folder on your phone, or an Android share destination such as Google Drive that you select yourself).
To use the app you sign in with your Google account. The app receives a sign-in token from Google and sends it to the Finance Plant server in India, which checks it and creates a Finance Plant account ID for you. The server stores:
Sign-in is used for account access and support. It is not used to read your financial records.
The app does not send anonymous usage or error counts to our servers. The only data sent to our servers is what is needed for sign-in and support, described in sections 2 and 4.
If you send a support or help message through the app, the message and the information you include are stored on our server so we can reply. Please do not include bank passwords or card numbers in messages.
The free version of Finance Plant shows advertisements from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data to show and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Ads are shown at most twice a day, and not during the first three days after installation.
In the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google shows you a consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can accept or decline. If you decline, Finance Plant does not request ads for you. You can change your choice at any time in Settings under "Privacy choices".
Your financial records stay on your device. Sign-in and support data are processed by our server in India. Google processes sign-in and advertising data under Google's own policies, which may involve transfers outside India.
Financial records stay on your phone until you erase them. Account and support data are kept while your account exists, and are removed when you delete your account, unless we must keep some information by law.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), and similar laws where you live, you may have the right to:
To use these rights, email financeplantapp@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by law.
You can erase the data on your phone at any time from Settings (Erase all data). You can delete your Finance Plant account from Settings; the server then removes your account data, including your email. Backups you saved elsewhere must be deleted from that location.
Finance Plant is for adults who are legally able to enter agreements in their country (18 years or older in India). Do not use the app if you are under that age, and do not give us information about a child. If you believe a child has given us data, contact financeplantapp@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Your financial records stay on your device. Session tokens are stored only in hashed form on the server. Backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone locked and your backup passwords private.
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
